The difference a year makes

Front viewWe had a meeting tonight so I visited the building beforehand to take some pictures. I saw François the other night and he told me that the rest of the windows had been put in. So this is what the front of the building looks like as of today. You can see how things originally looked here.

The front doorThis is a clearer shot of the new front door and the window that looks into the old building. We have three keys to the door but as yet I don't have my own. I guess we'll have to decide how many extra to get cut. They're not normal "Yale" style keys so they could be expensive.

It's a bull's-eyeThe window with the round bit is called an "Oeil-de-boeuf" in French. It took me a while to work out a sensible translation but finally the penny dropped - it's a Bull's-eye.

sunshine.jpgI had a go at a slightly artistic shot... I think I failed. However, you can see a few cables snaking across the floor. They're all held down with little dollops of mortar.

We're making a tentative estimate that we'll be able to move in to the new building in May 2011. You heard it here first!
