Lots of wood
The roof has been started! We went to the building site first thing yesterday morning because I was hoping to be able to put together a PowerPoint presentation to show the congregation. That didn't work out because of technical problems...
Anyway, there is plenty of evidence of work. This shot is of the main supports for the roof. We've had snow which instantly makes anything look pretty.
Next up is a view of all the scaffolding. Not really much to say for that as it speaks for itself.
Finally a photo from the upstairs window of the old building. Not sure why I've not thought to take photos from there before. It gives an idea of the scale of things I suppose.
Once we'd visited the site and were on our way to church I had the bright idea of going back and writing "Joyeux Noël" in the snow on the large beams. However the snow didn't last that long so I'll just say it here - Joyeux Noël, Happy Christmas to all.
