Introducing
Having given "a pastor's eye view" as the sub-title for this blog it would probably make sense for me to introduce myself. My name is Adrian Frost, I'm 35 and I'm English. I'm married to Naomi and we have three children - Zachary, Oliver and Joachim. The photo pretty much says it all.

We moved to Belgium in 2001 when Zachary was 5 months old and both Oliver and Joachim were born here. When we arrived I spoke practically no French so my first 18 months here was spent learning the language. Now, nearly 8 years later I'd class myself as "proficient" - with a long way still to go.
In 2003 we started working with the church in Libramont.
We had no intention of staying here long term. We thought that we'd probably end up working further north, near Brussels. Libramont was supposed to be a temporary stop for 2 years on the job training for church work. Well, things never turn out as you plan or imagine. In 2004 the pastor at that time decided it was time for him to move on and we were asked to stay. We had one year of overlap in which to get things sorted out. And then I became pastor of Libramont Evangelical Church.
In July 2007, after a failed procedure for severe lower back pain, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. For me it has been characterised by chronic pain and fatigue, I know that the experience varies from person to person. This has slowed me down considerably and the road to recovery is long with no guarantee of a return to full health. The whole story is also long, involved and, above all else, boring so I'll not recount it here. After nearly a year of being signed off work I started working part-time in September 2008. Suffice to say it has been an interesting, and sometimes difficult time for all concerned. But of one thing I am convinced; God knows what he is doing with me, with my family and with the church.
Apart from my work for the church I enjoy dabbling in web development and making music on my computer. I have a website called "this kind of life" where you can hear some of that music, if the mood so takes you.
