In Limbo

It's been a while since my last post to the building project blog, it's also been a while since anything has been built on the site. We're waiting for the roofer to come in and do his stuff. He was due to come in August but nothing happened. We're not really quite sure why. "C'est la vie" seems to be the best answer so far.

We had a meeting of the building committee last night, apart from eating some very nice Jaffa Cakes (thanks Keith!) we talked about where things are at and what we need to do and/or chase up. Number one priority is getting in contact with the roofer. After that it's working out what bits we might need to do ourselves before the concrete floors are poured and the exterior cladding goes on. Most likely we're going to need to run cabling for the electricity.

Guy and François are now working on a presentation for the 27th of September. They're going to take some time after the Sunday service to explain what's happening, or not happening. The idea, in part, is to keep people up to date and keep the project alive in people's minds. It's kind of easy to forget something like this when there is no apparent movement.
