Almost Latest News
I went to the site after church last Sunday but haven't had much time to do an update of the blog this week. So, finally, here is the almost latest news.
First photo is of the path mentioned in my previous post. François told me that it took a lot more gravel than they were expecting to fill the entire area - 2m³, if I remember correctly.
Also, as previously mentioned, the finished walls (and doorways) for the toilets. To the left are the doorways to the two classrooms. The opening right up against the wall is the entrance for the disabled loo and the one "nearest" is the doorway to the ladies and gents toilets.
I had a peek upstairs too, and a lot of work has been done on the room that will eventually be used for the heating unit. The walls are built right up to the roof. The wall to the right will also, eventually, reach to the roof.
Finally, a photo which, I suppose, shows that things are taking maybe longer than we hoped - weeds in the main hall. That's the highest I've seen them so far. For now they can stay as they're doing no harm.
Winter is starting to draw in, yeah, the weather is already turning, it's getting cold, leaves are falling and snow has been reported up near Vielsalm, about 40 miles from here! We'll have something of a race on to get stuff finished so that the builder can come back in and pour the concrete floors, hopefully before Christmas. Thanks once again to François and Alain for all their hard work.
This blog is also starting to be translated into French by Michel from the church: French Blog. I guess he'll not translate this bit though...
Sorry, comments have been locked for this post.
